The Contribution of NGOs in a Developing Nation

India is a very big country having a population of more than 1.2 billion people. As it is obvious, such a great population can’t be served only by government. The 40% people of India are still struggling to earn bread and butter. In fact, the statistics must be a bit higher because literacy and employment rate is also not very satisfactory. It is true that this country has achieved a lot but still there is always more to be achieved.
India is facing lots of problems these days like naxalism, terrorism and corruption. The foundation of these social evils lies in illiteracy and lack of moral responsibility. It is really shameful that in such a big country millions of people are homeless. To serve these people, there are thousands of NGOs in India. It is also true that their effort has brought a huge sigh of relief in our society. Even it is on a very small basis but they have taken the initiative step. A common man can notice the difference easily that is done by these non-government bodies for the benefit of societies. There are many child care NGOs which are not only giving home to orphans but also provide them proper education. It is the way to develop a sense of confidence in such children who are abandoned by their parents for different reasons.
The condition of women in Indian society is improving day by day. They are now more independent and confident too. The NGOs for women has done a great job in the area of women empowerment. We all know the fact that an independent woman can do great contribution to the society. Didi Maa Sadhvi Ritambhara, the president of Param Shakti Peeth, always says that a well educated and skilled woman is like a boon for any country. That is why she is highly focused on this section of the society. It is difficult to neglect the contribution of women in the making of any nation.
In the same way a healthy society is also required for the all-round development of the nation. Param Shakti Peeth is doing miracles as a health care NGO. The free health camps whether they are eye operation camps or polio operation camps, are organized on a regular basis by this prominent NGO of India. Hence, it is understood that if we want a strong country, every citizen must serve those people who are still underprivileged and unable to lead a prosperous life.
Trying to Make a Better Future For The Needy Ones

The best thing about human beings is that mercy lies in their heart. This is the one and only thing which makes them different from the other creatures on the earth. This world is facing lots of crisis these days. Human lives are ruined badly not only by natural disasters but also by man-made policies. Villages are demolished, cities are ruined and thousands of people become helpless to live a miserable life. This is the time when we need the care of those organizations which have been called NGOs.
India is a very big country having a diversified culture and tradition. Apart from that, the problems of this country are also big. Government can’t handle everything on its own that is why thousands of NGOs are working here to bring some good change in the condition of the needy people. An NGO in India has a great impact on the mind frame of people too. It inspires them to do some favorable things for the society. A NGO for women changes the condition of women through its vocational programs and brings women empowerment.
The condition of orphans in our country is well-known. If they don’t get proper care and attention they becomes criminal or they become the victims of different kinds of exploitation. One can find an NGO for Child Welfare very easily in this country but only few of them worth appreciation. CRY, Param Shakti Peeth, Kiran are few NGOs which are really doing a great job in the field of child care. The traditional design of Indian societies is also helpful in implementing the projects of such organizations.
A child care NGO also takes care of the future perspective of its children. A good education can make them brave and productive citizen that can work for the country. That is why most of the child care organizations of our country highly focus on the education of such children. Hence, it is quite understandable that the NGOs can do a great job in the making of a society. They can bring the women empowerment, they can take care of the orphans and can make them good citizen and above all they serve the humanity without expecting any return as the service of mankind is the worship of God.
